Weekend

I haven't written much lately. That's for a couple of reasons, first is that we've been busy getting T ready for her ACT exam that she took this week. She said she felt better about it than she did the practice exams, so let's see! She won't get her results back for another 6 weeks or more.

Lil M changed rooms at DC this week, too. We're both getting used to the new room / teacher. I'm not convinced, as usual, that it's going to be an OK fit, but let's see. I will continue to let my concerns known until they are resolved one way or another. They had school pics this past week, and I hope we get some good ones out of them.

The other stuff going on, I'll talk about later. :) Just please keep sending up prayers for Sis.

Today, I'm feeling lazy and have a headache. I'm watching some March Madness.... was glad to see UK win. I'm not hugely into watching sports on TV, but I like me some bball. ;-)

Peace.

Melissa, Melissa, Melissa. As someone who is an expert in the field of sports and English literature, I can assure you that "ball" only has one "b" in it. Sheesh. That's actually a common rookie mistake. That or your writing is a bit "stuttery".

Yes, we all like baseball. I especially like the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, every time a player quits using drugs, someone loses a bet here in Vegas. What a shame, huh?

"[B]ut I like me some bball."

The favored construction of this sentence is: "I like baseball." I know Kentuckians are rabble-rousers, nonconformist mischief-makers, who like to do things their own way. But since you are a part of the Union (for now, anyway) you may as well conform to proper English etiquette. Also, you do not have to punctuate your sentences with a shotgun blast.

On a related topic, I think writing posts for blogs was something only men could do in your neck of the woods. Just for the record, I TOTALLY DISAGREE with a male monopoly over blogosphere. I think women - not just men - should be allowed to write what they wish when they wish to do do. This is why I'm granting you permission to continue writing about sports until June 1st, and NOT beyond that. I mean it. Also, I will insist that you submit to me for approval a draft version of posts involving this subject matter at least 48 hours before the posting. Two days should give me sufficient time to censor anything I deem inappropriate and put you in thy place.

Carry on.

His Lordship,
18th Century Tom

There should only be one "do" not two. My assistant, Gretchen, posted my dictation and has subsequently been dismissed for her egregious typo.

Again I say, carry-on.

His Lordship Thomas of 18th Century Arumba.

I'm sorry its been so long since I've checked in over here. You seem busy, but happy.

Are you still thinking about international adoption again?
