Lil M doesn't seem to like soccer as much as I thought she would, which she started 3 weeks ago. Not sure what I'm going to do about that. My friend MK suggested I take her out of it, and I might do that. She might just not be ready for it. This program has something like 70 kids... and I think it is a bit overwhelming for Lil M and her two friends (Aria and Becky). The three of them seem to get run over by the bigger kids most of the time. I haven't decided if I'm going to give it one more week or not. She's at the age where I don't want to force her to be miserable... if she likes it, great. If not... oh well. The coach was kind of snarky to me, so that's a deterrent, as well.
She IS darn cute in her soccer clothes, though. :D
I had to get a new AC/heat unit last month. I also had some back taxes to pay (crap). And I had to get a new washer. Good news is that I can pay payments on the AC/heat thing... Thank God.
My little family here makes me very happy. We've made the downstairs office into a baby room, and we know T will have a boy... named Gabriel (Gabe... or baby G). Nope, no M name for him... darn!! LOL

I’m rather pleased to hear that T chose a name that does not begin with an “M”, with all do respect to thee. Doing so gives the household what people in the hostage negotiation business call “nomenclature diversity”, and it gives other letters of the alphabet opportunities to show their stuff, especially the newer letters. I’m somewhat partial to the name Thomas. Don’t ask me why. But it’s resonated with me since I was a little boy. I have childhood memories of someone calling the name Thomas out loud and me answering back. Isn’t that odd?? LOL. Anyway, Thomas means “twin”, but in recent centuries the meaning was updated to “Genius x 2", which I think more accurately describes the contemporary Thomases around today.
Marissa means “fashion enthusiast/ drinker of non-fat latte/ skipping through the flower fields happy.”

And I’m certainly glad that - as you put it - your “little family” makes you happy. In the end, that’s all that matters. Jobs will come and go, material things will decay, but love is the only one thing that a human being will crave. It reminds me of the moving passage from the book of Leviticus, "Hazarmaveth, son of Jethro and crustacean aficionado, sacrificed his only gunsel so that Baruch might have a yak." It's very touching, really.

yes, we're doing alright here... though, today my patio door is giving me trouble now. :( but i guess it comes in waves, right? how's your house stuff going? get it all finished?

Yes! It does come in waves, unfortunately:0( I just tore my ACL and haven't been to class for over a week. I'm going to have to make a decision pretty soon. I hope you can get your door fixed inexpensively. You've mentioned other fixes around the house that drain the finances. Ben there; done that.
Nope. Haven't finished the house yet. I've got three more rooms to go, the garage, and the dungeon:0) Oh and I'm completely redoing the landscaping. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but something has to be done. Every time it gets windy, the pool fills up with grass.
On a more positive note, it's almost Halloween and I've already got my costume picked out! I'm not going to tell you what it is, but I will say that this year I get to use REAL fairy dust;0)
