Mama Said

... is the song i'm listening to... :) But it is sort of relevant to how I feel. Not exactly the lyrics, no, but more that I'm a little proud today. Mama said that a friend of T's should go back to school and encouraged him to get the ball rolling and HE DID IT. :) I mean, he's not back in yet, but he's made the first steps and I was very proud that I had the ability to convince someone to do something positive in their life. :) Baby steps, right?

Mama also said that she thinks it's ridiculous that some of these parents out there just let their kids run wild and run the streets... all day and night... and don't seem to care where they are. In other words, I've found recently that there are more kids than I'd like to know about that their parents just don't seem to give a crap about where they are EVER. No wonder they feel like they have no one who cares or they have no confidence in their own abilities. Their own parents have given up on them, for whatever reason. It is appalling.

Ok, off soapbox now. :)

My kiddos are doing well... and it is spring. My flower garden is coming in pretty well, so far. I had two rose bushes come back really well and my Japanese Maple looks gorgeous. I'll take pics soon (once i pull some weeds, lol). Lil M loves to go out in the yard and pick "flowers" (weeds... wait, i need to get her to pull some in the flower garden!!!) for me almost every day. Yep, we have that many. Oh well.. can't be good at everything, eh? *wink*
