Stuck up

You know, I'm stuck up. I will admit it. I'm SO flipping tired of people and their attitudes, so I'm just going to start standing my ground and put them in the "idiot" bucket where they belong. Which, of course, makes me better than them ... and so it shall be.

Ok, so I don't really believe I'm better than anyone else, at all. Anyone who knows me would realize pretty quickly that I usually put others feelings above my own (most of the time). Sometimes we have to be selfish. And I'm usually pretty tolerant with other people, even those who aren't so tolerant of me. But today, upon reflection... why do I have to be tolerant? Do I need to be?

Christ would call me to be tolerant. And, man, can that be hard some days... especially when you have said idiots all around you acting like they are better... when they really aren't. So, I will put my frustration at the feet of Jesus and ask for forgiveness for being intolerant. Just because they are or because someone is mean to me doesn't mean that I need to follow suit. And then, I'll try to be more tolerant.

It is a time of reflection for me, between Ash Wednesday and Easter - of 40 days... or Lent. And, while, I'm not Catholic, I do like to try to take this time to reflect on my walk with Christ. I also like to 'fast' in some day (give something up). This time it was going to be not cursing... but, I'm having difficulty with that. HA. So... maybe with this attitude adjustment I can try again... or just go with something else. The main point is to reflect on my relationship with God and take time out to do that.
